Commemorative presidential of 24kts ELECTROPLATED GOLD coin, still sealed in its original envelope with the correspondent stamps. A rare collectible beautifully preserved. The item was directly scanned, so there is only some “time” dust in the item that the scan doesn’t detect. It’s written:
James Buchanan Born April 23rd, 1791 near Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. 15th President. Term of office: 1857 – 1861. “…History will vindicate my memory”. Special collector’s Edition of Official U.S. Mint Presidential Medal 24kts. Gold Electroplated by the Postal Commemorative Society. This cover bears the 3 cents Wheatland stamp of 1956 and the 18 cents U.S. flag stamp of 1981. Wheatland was the home of James Buchanan. It’s also sealed: Mercersburg, PA, APR 23 1983, 17236.
